ELYRIA MANUFACTURING CORP. CITED AMONG BEST PLACES TO WORK IN NORTHEAST OHIO; HONORED FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

     Elyria Manufacturing Corp. has received a North Coast ’99 award, signifying the company as one of the 99 best places to work in Northeast Ohio, for the third consecutive year.  Announcement of the award was made on Thursday, September 20, 2001 at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven by the Employer’s Resource Council (ERC) and Enterprise Development Incorporated (EDI).

    Elyria Manufacturing Corp. is an Elyria-based company, founded in 1925, which produces precision-machined products.  The company has approximately 100 employees. 

    Criteria for this award was based on achievements in six categories:  Compensation and Benefits; Safety and Health Diversity; Recruitment and Selection; Work/Family; Community Involvement; and Training and Education.

     This regional honor is awarded by the joined efforts of the Employer’s Resource Council (ERC) and Enterprise Development Inc. (EDI), which are sponsored by Deloitte & Touche LLP, The Plain Dealer, Thompson Hine LLP, SummaCare Health Plan, FirstMerit Bank, and 90.3 WCPN.
